Gallery

Over the past few years, I have set myself the challenge of producing graphic prints that depict the glorious colours and amazing shapes that are revealed when looking at satellite images of the earth.

I was particularly surprised to find that the cold Polar regions showed the most extreme colours, and that my own country, South Africa, showed such subtle and gentle colours, ranging from deep reds and gold to pale lilac and soft yellow.

Using the satellite images as my 'still-life models' I set about creating palettes to match these colours, and designed simplified graphics to show these. I have grouped them into 'Colours of the World' and 'Colours of South Africa'.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I did in creating them.
